Boldt Castle Tickets and Prices

Boldt Castle admission is sold by the Thousand Islands Bridge Authority, which has owned and operated the castle since 1977. Prices are low for a landmark of this size because of how the Authority acquired it: for one dollar, on the condition that revenue goes back into restoration.

2026 prices

The combination ticket is the one worth noticing. Bought separately the two come to $22.50 for an adult; together they are $17.00, a saving of $5.50. For a child the combination costs the same $10.00 as the castle alone, which makes the Yacht House free for children in practice.

The boat is not in these prices

Heart Island is reachable only by water, and no admission ticket includes the crossing. From Alexandria Bay the shuttle was last published at about $10.00 adult and $6.50 child, and the operator states directly that castle admission is sold separately. From the Canadian side you are buying a cruise, typically from about $30, and several of those sell castle entry as an option rather than including it.

A realistic all-in adult figure from the American side is therefore about $24, or $27 with the Yacht House.

• Pre-booked — a Boldt Castle and Yacht House entry ticket sells at $17.00, matching the Authority’s own combination price, and can be held before you travel.
• Bundled with a Canadian crossing — the Gananoque cruise offers castle entry as an add-on to the boat fare.

What is not sold as a ticket

There is no separate charge for the grounds, the Alster Tower, the Power House or the stone arch entry — they are inside the castle admission. The shuttle boat between Heart Island and the Yacht House is free, which is the single most-missed fact about a Boldt Castle visit and the reason the combination ticket is better value than it looks.
